In February 2015 BS EN 14339 Part 1 to Part 6 was updated, and new the version has been released.
Due to the large amount of enquiries from our customers asking if we will be providing our product to the latest standard, we have issued the following statement below in answer to this question.
CE Marking to BS EN 14399-1:2015
Regarding the updated standards for EN 14399 Part 1 to 6, 2015 edition, we can confirm that all our products offered will comply with the 2015 versions.
However, because these standards have only been recently issued in the EU not all countries have yet been able to translate the standards to their language and because of this, the new version of the standard cannot be yet subject to CE Marking.
So at present the harmonised standard that applies for CE marking is BS EN 14399-1:2005 and CE approved assemblies still need to be supplied in accordance to old standard.
We are already testing to EN 14399:2015 for Part 1 to 6 & will supply CE approved to this version as soon it is issued as a harmonized standard but it may be approximately 12 months until this comes into force.
We will monitor closely any changes made by the European Commission to list of harmonised standards.
Currently we are working closely with Lloyd’s Register LRQA to change our approvals to be able to offer CE marked fasteners to BS EN 14399-1:2015 as soon as possible.
