CE and UKCA Marking from 1st January 2021

CE and UKCA Marking from 1st January 2021

As the transition period with the EU coming to the end on 31st December 2020, there are changes in CE marking from 1st January 2021.

From 1st January 2021 construction products placed on the UK market (except for Northern Ireland which will require CE marked products) will require new UKCA marking. Until the end of December 2021, you can continue to use CE marking (with or without UKCA).

Companies like ours, who are approved through UK Body (LRQA) will be able to offer products with UKCA mark. To allow us to continue to supply CE Marked goods to Europe (including Ireland and Northern Ireland), we took additional steps, and we are pleased to inform you that we been granted new approval for CE Marking through LRQA in the Netherlands that will be in use from 1st January 2021.

Our goods, that been CE approved with our current CE certificate (0038) will still become valid (i.e. manufactured before 1st January 2021).

Any new goods manufactured after the 1st January 2021 will be dual CE marked with new approval (2814) and UKCA (0038) mark.

Please refer to our freshly updated certificates section where you can download our certificates for your records.

Our certificates for UKCA marking will be published once received from our approval body at the beginning of the year, but we can commence with UKCA marking from the first day of 2021.

This will allow us to continue to offer products marked under the requirements of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) 305/2011/EU both in the UK and the EU.
